So my step daughter attends a high school that has a 7 point grade scale, ie 94-100 is an A and so on.

When I was in high school I had a 10 pt grade scale and I know LSU had a 10 pt scale.

Will her current GPA adjust when she applies to LSU or any other college with a 10 pt grading system?

What kinda high school has a 10 to grading scale?

My major classes in college were a 7 point grading school, and a C was practically a failing grade (you could only make 2).

One of the best in Louisiana.

It’s been so long it may not have actually been 10 per letter grade but I def remember an A being 90-100 and that’s all I care about as far as the OP goes.

89-80 was a B
79-70 was a C
69-60 was a D
59-0 was a F

In the whole scheme of things, it really shouldn't matter. Teachers generally tweak the coursework to make the end grades basically fit the bell curve or "normal distribution", so you are gonna fall where you fall regardless of the scale.

I'm not sure that high school GPA should be weighted very heavily for college admissions anyway. They are way too many variables across schools.

My grading scale in high school was not forgiving:

95-100 A
88-94 B
78-87 C
70-77 D
69 and below F

I use a ten-point scale for my AP classes, but regular classes are:

93-100 A
85- 92 B
75-84 C
67-74 D
66 and below F

If you ask me, that grading scale is way too generous for high school. And no... they don't adjust the scale for college

what kind of high school did yall people go to?
i went to one in a small town where it was a 10 point difference for a letter grade.

no it wont make a difference when you apply to college. the school only see the letter grades on transcripts, no a percentage. the admissions department has no way of knowing how each and every school distributes grades.

They basically already do this. It’s insane.

I had a 7 point scale in HS. About 5 years ago they changed it back to 10 point scale because it was costing kids scholarship money (where other districts were going by a 10 point scale). All of my college courses were 10 point scales.
