Even if Trump is coming down for selfish reasons (which I don't think he entirely is) it'll still lead to a lot of good exposure for Louisiana and flood victims.
That's actually the central tenet of capitalism and the free market: Private greed leads to public good. Within reason. But I wouldn't expect leftists to understand that.

Katrina hit and Blanco was a one term gov. Let's hope the flood of 2016 does the same for JBE. How stupid can one person be? Whether you like Trump or not, his coming down can do nothing but shed more light on the situation and keep up the much needed national attention on the state.

Maybe it'll be on major news networks and several states will have a telethon. If trump is here and it's broadcasted then it makes OTHERS aware of the true devastation. And also LA in front of other headlines.

Trump is likely going to speak which will be carried by every major national news network. He's likely going to call out the administration and media for not doing their jobs and ignoring this situation. Since our illustrious governor has reminded us at every chance he's gotten how broke we are, we are going to need federal dollars to do things like reopen schools. Trump calling out people makes them respond and pay attention.
The appropriate question Louisiana residents should be asking is why our governor hasn't already been doing this. Nice to see that toeing the party line is more important than the needs of your residents
