I’d imagine most businesses are still going to require things like masks to be worn inside. Target or CVS is not just all of a sudden going to drop those requirements.

Most already quit requiring it. No idea on the two you mentioned though

And unless parishes and cities drop any of their requirements, I’m not sure what is going to change in the near term

Isn’t New Orleans the only place in the state with local restrictions?

It’s stupid to end the mask mandate. Most of the country has spikes in cases. Some states are running out of icu beds. Since the mask mandate the state has been decent, and life has been better. It’s not that big of a deal to have a damn mask on. Make it match your outfit so at least you can still look sharp even with the mask on.

No you dumbass, the State had 22,000 more cases the 30 days after the mandate than it did 30 days prior. You were sold a bill of goods and you bought it just like the useful idiot you are. If you want to wear a mask go ahead, but don't tell the rest of us how to live our lives.

I’m sure Nola has the strictest and most stupid things going on, but what about bars opening and the capacity limits for them and restaurants in the rest of the state?
People
Allowed at high school sports?
Can someone somewhere out in some small outdoor music festivals or something? Would be great to see that

That's a very manipulated stat.

There are far better to support your point.

All the stats are manipulated

It’s almost a certainty you’ve been exposed to it and didn’t get it, had it and not known, or had it and been sick already.

How can you be certain of this without a contact tracing system in place?

I'm all for private property rights, but that doesn't mean anyone has to shop somewhere with ridiculous virtue signaling rules for entry.

I quit going to Target a while ago because of their bad business decisions that make it difficult to shop there (everything in store is cheaper on their website by design, stores are woefully understaffed), my kids' running into predators in the bathroom is just another reason to avoid them. Walmart has everything Target has without the smugness.

I'm certainly not going anywhere that requires a mask, since I'm not in the groups affected by the virus.

Yeah I loved when he said several regions had zero ICU beds at the end of the summer

Jefferson Parish has mask mandates, not quite on par with Orleans, but definitely enough to shut down most small businesses.

I guess it’s LSUs decision all the way in if any tailgating can happen on campus

There’s no guarantee this petition will hold up in court but if it does then it’s up to each local government to write their own EO with the restrictions they see as necessary

Going by the governor's record of getting favorable judges it probably has an uphill battle through the courts.

Everyone keeps yelling that they would take JBE or Cantrell to court, but the law is on their side.

Could argue too many years of giving away powers or whatever I guess. It seems once that state of emergency in enacted everything goes out the window.
