It's not Mexican migrants. That's stupid. It's kids making out and fricking after being cooped up for months.
Not mutually exclusive possibilities.
Contact tracing; testing in prisons, LTC facilities/hospitals, and factories/meat packing; and focusing on "hot spots" is actively hunting virus in target rich environments.
It's going to cause case numbers and positive percent to increase.
Context needed in reports (from Ethical Skeptic):

In a time like this, where everything is politicized and society is heavily polarized, this may well be the best indication of good leadership.

You knew the Dims and MSM would need to gin up Covid after the wind inevitably went out of the riots (because the people marching aren’t used to having to do anything and have no stamina). If people catch on to the Covid numbers being played, watch for Pencilneck to crank up the impeachment clown show again.

What does the initial wave of infection in Louisiana and New York 2-3 months ago have to do with what is going on in Mexico now?
If the thought is our spike is only because of illegals, why did other spikes happen and why didn’t we have a spike before?
It’s faulty logic.

I'm pretty sure I never said it was specifically "illegals."
I'll try to draw picture for you next time, since reading appears to be difficult for you, that shows that Mexico is currently on the rise, with border states (and the border counties within those states) and other states that received LEGAL migrant workers seeing a rise at the same time.
Small border hospitals ship patients north to save room for their surge.
I in no way implied this was the only reason for any and every "spike." Testing hotspots...contact tracing...all sorts of factors are going into this "spike."
It's faulty reading on your part.
Edit: Also, what spikes in Louisiana and New York are you talking about? I took it to mean the initial wave of this outbreak. If so, I was in no way claiming that had anything to do with illegal immigrants or Mexico.
And I can't help but notice you in no way tried to rebut the "evidence" I provided via news articles. Deflect.
quote:My initial statement, which was supported by the articles I posted.
And I’m not suggesting it’s illegal immigrants. Lots of US ex-pats and/or green card holders living in Mexico coming home for treatment (hospital numbers), or legal migrant workers coming over for agricultural work.

Abbott just shut down all bars, reduced restaurants to 50% and banned all. Outdoor gatherings of 100 or more. This man is the definition of a cuck.

He’s not a leader at all
Texans elected a pussy
All this over a spike in new cases.
Death rate is not rising. And zero data being reported on the age/demographic of the hospitalizations.
This virus isn’t going anywhere. He might as well keep this in place until Biden is elected because that’s when it will he out of the media and a fart in the wind.

What would you have him do as cases in Texas spike like crazy? Open up fully? Bury his head in the sand and hope it magically goes away? Tell everyone to ingest disinfectants?

Why are you getting so angry?
The guy I originally replied to did. You jumped in and replied to that. Don’t get all pissy that I assumed you shared his opinion.

OMG NOT CASES!!
The state can show us data that hospitals are being overrun or they can frick off. This is all political posturing.

I'm not angry. I'm dispassionately pointing out the fault in your argument/assumptions.

How did you assume I completely shared his opinion when I clearly stated my position on spikes seen in three border states?
I replied to him, and then you replied to me. So, don't claim that I replied to you to start this argument you're losing.
Again, you're deflecting from the fact that you were wrong, have poor reading comprehension skills, and I pointed that out.

I don't know why everyone keeps blaming protests. There were protests around the entire country. And those protesting were nearly all wearing masks. It couldn't be more obvious that the uptick is due to the reopening, not protests.
As mentioned, Austin has not seen the increases that other cities have seen. People in Austin wear masks.

or you know, its due to all of the above?
trying to deny that protests almost assuredly aided in the spread of the virus is just pure political hackery
