Chili's in Ellick was total crap during and post CV19 but must say it has rebounded nicely. Do wish they would bring back the signature Chilis 2 for 1 drinks. Me and Ms db56 can share the Triple Dipper, have an adult beverage and walk out without getting a second mortgage.

I have heard that they have really turned that business around!
I went a couple of months ago with my daughter. This was the first time I had stepped inside of a Chili's in at least 20 years.
Surprisingly, it was pretty good. I got a burger and fries. My daughter had their chicken fingers. We'd go back. Really decent "value" and "quality" for the price.
And the service was fine as well.

I would be down for Chili's any night of the week. Fast food prices have equalized sit down restarants.
I spent $35 for McDonalds for a family of four today, and that was with a 15% app discount.

The last two Chili's I visited were on Constitution Ave, and Millerville, in Baton Rouge. The visits were roughly 2 weeks apart, about a year ago, and between flimsy plastic cutlery, unavailable menu items, and poor quality on the food I was able to order, I've not been back.
I can only speak to my experiences, but they were not good.

Hate to tell you but the Chili's on Manhattan closed. It's some kind of seafood house now.

quote:While the quality has gone to complete shite - just look at Wendy's. Their stock is in the tank and they're trying to scrape the bottom of the barrel to see how much shite their customers will put up with and still charge $15 per meal. They changed the lettuce, cut the portions on beef, changed the buns, changed the fries, cut out half of the employees per shift.
Fast food prices have equalized sit down restarants.
Mark my words - Wendy's will be out of business by the end of 2027 if they don't stop cutting corners.

Point was about the food.. Not to cater to alcoholics.

I gave up on fast-food when we bought taco bell a couple of years ago and it was like $37 for a 2 adults and toddler.
I think they did the math though and probably realized that even if they only serve 70% of their customers at a 100% increased food price, they make more money than selling copious amounts of cheaper food to more people

Went to the Chili's in Madisonville last week. Food was decent and the server we had was excellent.

Constitution Ave,
only Chili's I have really had a bad experience with. All other locations I have been to were in Texas or Alabama and they were much better.

And their beers are 2for1. I had 6 beers, and that combo for $24.94 with tax the other day.

They really didn't even change that much. Their food has been solid for a long time for what it is. They've added some good new things for sure, but ultimately they just kept their quality good, made it fairly reaonable to go price wise, and then marketed it that way. Their burger has been one of the better chain burgers for a long time.
Shocker, people respond well when you act reasonably and put out a fairly consistant and decent product.
