Any letter, email, or text that starts off with "kindly", it's a scam

I know everybody here is going to bash you but remember (going forward) that “If it seems to good to be true, it probably is a lie”.

No one is going to give you that much money for doing very little work.

Like when my wife said if I took her on a cruise that she would have sex with me every night. What she really meant was that I could masturbate in the same room as her every night for a week.

It’s all in the details brother.

Details.

Another good way to get back at these guys is to create a bunch of fictional people with Gmail addresses and express interest. Have them send the checks to nonexistent addresses like 8400 St Charles Avenue in New Orleans. Then they waste money on postage.

Can you at least use your wife’s hand to jerk yourself off with?

That's a good idea too. Im curious how im supposed to pay the wrap guy. Is someone going to show up at my house wanting money. If so I sign the check to him and just have him give me the $800. Lol.

I honestly knew it was going to be a scam when I got the text. It was mostly curiosity. Energy drinks do at times pay for vehicle ads. But $3200 a month? That's crazy money.
I did misread as $800 a month and not a week at first.

I totally reread it and saw where I fricked up and changed it. No wonder why everyone thought I deposited it. No. I saw the check and knew it was fake, I've heard of this scam before. I have the letter and the check. Postal inspector wants me to say my bank is delaying clearing the check.

Yeah, it read like you put the check in the bank. Which would make you an idiot. I mean, you might still be an idiot, idk, but not for this.

There's a difference between a Cashier Check and a Certified Check.

Even if legit it would take a lot more than $800 to put a trashy ad on my vehicle. I worked with a guy who won a truck in a big buck contest and he had to drive around in that awful rolling billboard for a year before he could paint it.

Idk $800 a month could finance anything I'd want to drive and then some.

Guess getting paid per service call isn't as lucrative as you thought.

I mean I'd like a new jeep an extra 800 a month aint nothing to sneeze at. Maytag can't use that ad anymore since they are just a division of whirlpool and their stuff breaks all the time now.

Anyway a thought..

What if I cashed the check at an Ace cash check place?
Not going to deposit it. But there's no way to make money off of this.

Will trade a ticket to tonight's game for a third party check for $3500.

Why didn't he just keep driving the vehicle he had before the big buck contest until the year was up?

I don't think the inherent act of asking for more info is stupid. I got the scam check and letter, alerted the authorities and posted about it on TD.
Stupid would be getting the check and depositing then giving some jack off $2700. Instead I'm trying to get these guys stopped by alerting the postal inspectors.

Can you just cash one of those checks?

No bank will cash a check that large without having an account at the bank. The check will undoubtedly bounce and once it does you will owe a fee to the bank for depositing a bad check. There is no winning here. As much as you want to one up the scammers, they make it reasonably difficult to do.
