Here are your options:
1) scratch it vigorously and pour alcohol or bleach on the exposed wounds
2) wait for it to go away
3) go to the redi-med and get some meds from them (anti-inflammatory/anti-itch)
I have done all. They all work. Next time, tuck your pants into your boots, and spray Off on your boots and lower legs. No chiggers and no ticks

Agreed. Although I never had a problem with them myself, when I was in the Army this was a must to have in the field. Especially at Fort Polk.

I'm an old man (58), and when I was a kid I got red bugs bad a few times. My mom put Clorox in bath water to kill them. Not sure if they make this stuff anymore, methialade, sp? or mercuricom. We dabbed that stuff on each red spot. I looked like a spotted animal but it killed the itching. Anyway good luck and hope you feel better.

We were on vacation years ago and stayed at a fairly nice hotel.. we brought bed bugs home. You don't know how bad these frickers are. I threw away clothes and furniture. These bugs will make your life a living hell

For redbugs, mosquito bites, bee and wasp stings - dissolve a couple of tablespoons of salt in very warm water. Soak a washrag in the salt water and apply to bites, resoaking when it gets cool. Rapid relief.
