I drive through Iowa a few times a year. The small towns are eaten up with speed trap cameras.
The Iowa Supreme Court hasn’t banned them, but they have severely limited what a city can do to enforce a ticket.
Anyways, there are about 6 ways through Iowa to get where I need to go. I’m down to 4. No reason to get hassled by Barney.

Texas Lawyers about a Baton Rouge Traffic Cam
You would think the City of Baton Rouge would hire an in town collection agency law firm full of Southern Law grads.

Did you enter into a contract with the Texas company?
I wish I could send people bills for breaking traffic laws..

I have one also. Question: if I own a business in EBR can they hit me from that perspective? If not I plan to continue to ignore it.
They can’t touch you or your business. They will not issue a warrant if you don’t pay. If you’re popped by LSP, EBSO, or BRPD for speeding, for example, and you don't appear for court or withhold paying the fine once you are adjudicated (guilty plea or found guilty), then yes, a warrant will be issued. I had four or five red light camera tickets before I left BR. I never paid them a dime and never will. This was in 2013. You don’t even get a chance to contest the tickets, whereas the 19th JDC traffic court has to prove you were driving. Just because the car is registered in your name isn’t going to be enough to find you guilty without the State proving their case it was you behind the wheel.

If you read the way it is worded in the letters too, you will see that they use a lot of threats. None of the threats are actionable though. It’s just scare tactics from a collections agency. They are cleverly worded to sound like they are the same as a ticket issued by a police officer, but they aren’t and they have no way of proving you were driving the vehicle. Throw it in the burn pile.

I would bet highly, the person listed as the “traffic Officer” is a made up person. If anyone has the name of this alleged Officer in charge of this Division the OT could do some work if this person actually exists.

In the unlikely event they try to ding your credit or file suit ask them what signed contract you have with their company or the city of BR to pay this "debt".
Luckily Louisiana law prohibits camera tickets to negatively impact your credit. The bureaus will remove immediately upon request.
Monitor your Credit Score and fire off a letter if it appears on your report.
You can find templates online.

Because the City of BR is not the doing the hiring. This is a third party company and I'm not sure it's the same one but it used to be Reflex from Arizona.

No need to file suit, contest negative report with credit reporting agency, they will remove it.

Love all the contracts with out of state companies.
If the letter is not signed by a licensed LA lawyer, report them to the LA Bar Association.

There's a lot of dumb people with low standards out there though.
Like they think you can just start sending people a bill for speeding if you catch them.

All of it is just a form of taxation.
Every red state should ban both.
