In my experience, the tolerable women are the ones who have essentially all male friends and no female friends.

The least tolerable tend to be those who are currently or were recently pregnant.

I just don't understand how there is so much to talk about in a given day. I have spent the past 5 years working with predominantly women, and there is a constant level of baseline noise generated by women talking about absolutely nothing.

God forbid one be pregnant, and then everyone within three blocks will be ear raped by jet engine loud conversations (usually held in doorways or narrow hallways where you can't easily walk around them) between two women discussing nausea, headaches, bloating, sleep troubles, constipation, fatigue, whether the baby will be breast fed or formula fed, etc etc etc forever comparing their experiences.

Otherwise, just to summarize, conversations usually concern coffee/tiredness, stress, what they brought for lunch, what they wish they brought for lunch, how they shouldn't have brought lunch because of how delicious the pizza looks in the other room, how hot it is outside, how cold it is outside, how cold it is inside (it's never hot enough inside), what their hair does when it's raining, how they're jealous of how the other one's hair behaves in the rain, how cute one's clothes are, new diets, old diets, new ways to workout but in a fun way, also etc etc.
