Report: Baton Rouge residents' mail found tossed in the trash

LINK

BATON ROUGE -- Residents in a Baton Rouge neighborhood are looking for answers after finding their mail tossed in a dumpster according to our partners at WBRZ.

quote:

The dumpster Joyce is talking about is one that contained a full bin of undelivered mail.

Some letters contained bank statements, bills and other important information. The mail was discovered by the Goodwood Property Owners Association's former president.

He said he was instructed not to talk to the media by post office officials after he took the mail bin to them. He has since removed the photos he posted online.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds

You know what mailmen say, "I can either go to 600 houses a day, or one dumpster."

Anybody who can spend several decades sitting in a truck opening mailboxes all day is not someone I want working for me. Mail delivery people (not UPS or FedEx) are essentially the people with zero aspirations in life.

Have had a big problem of this happening in St.Louis by Black carriers.

As bad as that is, there was even worse, some shitheads were given jobs by local black politician at Veteran records building.

2 months in, some guy walking the creek with his dog, finds boxes and boxes of info on veterans that were dumped there by the shitheads, so they didnt have to file them, and got extra bonuses for getting work done.

All files had every piece of info on each vet. SS,DOB,everything.

All that happened, was they were let go.

Mail carriers were suspended, but i heard the requests of Postal Master, for termination was blocked and eventually stopped by local politician, taking care of her own constituents

The Mail carriers were meeting and dumping mail in an abandoned trash dumpster that gets dumped every other week. Unlucky for them, some transient dumpster divers looking for scrap metal found the mail

Sounds like a good time for a PSA. The USPS offers a free service where they email you images of mail (address side of letter sized envelopes) that will be delivered soon. LINK

I admit, back in college Pizza Hut offered me $50 if I’d go put coupons in peoples’ mailboxes. I went down one street and after that I was like, “frick this” — went back to my dorm and took a nap for a few hours, then went back and acted like I had run out of coupons. I told the manager, “I was halfway down the last street and I ran out... do you have like 15 more?” He was like, “Don’t worry about it, you’ve done enough”. and gave me 50 bucks. Ironically enough I spent it all that night on you guessed it, Pizza (at West Main)

River Ridge/Harahan mail delivery is awful in Jefferson parish

We get mail once every third day if we are lucky

We went a week or so without getting any, and guess what my neighbor found?
