You were in a situation where your life was close to on the line. You reacted. You are still on point and will be for a bit. Imagine it as a big adrenaline rush that you are now going to slowly come down from. The problem is that every time you think about it again, the adrenaline goes up again.

You will reach even levels, given a bit of time.

I really like the idea of going in and pouring a couple of shots with the Asian guy. Keep in mind, he is going through the same thing you are. You already liked him before this event.

Kindred spirits, and whatnot.

Yep. That would have been a deal breaker if my girlfriend, now wife, was a habitual snoozer. That is just narcissism to subject another human being to that.

The Asian work ethic, and sense of responsibility, doesn't allow him to close. He will be open.

I don't like hearing this. I work in the hood also. I go places my guy friends won't go. Walked in the asian place the other day and the lady recognized me and asked why I haven't been there lately (I was out of town for a week). This really makes me think what I would do or how I would feel in your situation because I easily could face the same situation.

I mean, I’ve never been scared in the hood. Cautious, of course. Uncomfortable, sure. Had a couple guns flashed at me. Whatever. I’m a scary looking dude and I don’t mess with anyone.

But in broad daylight in front of a store.

I’m sure it was just some stupid beef that got the dumb kid killed. And the community is gonna know who did it. But it’s just so senseless

That is kind of how I feel. I am cautious and have on occassions been uncomfortable but I am a chunky girl who drives an old car- I tell everyone who expresses concern that I am fine because I look like someone's old lady.

The sheer amount of able bodied men that just wander around that area all day is astonishing. Idle hands and all that
