I was about to walk in the damn store to get some Lo Mein. I go in there all the time and the oriental guy behind the register always gives me this knowing look. Like We’re the only two people that have been in the store all day that work. I was gonna stop in a little bit before but wanted to check something, so I drove by, did my thing then went back and parked

And I would have been walking in the store literally right there when it happened if I hadn’t taken a minute to check TD. And if I had, who knows. I would have seen the murderers face. He’d just put 5 rounds through a dude. What’s one more in some stupid cracker?

Watching the paramedics make the futile effort...that dude was dead before they even got there. Just bleeding out on the concrete with his pants sagging. Some stupid kid.

Good morning Tidal. I spent yesterday evening with a hedge trimmer, pole-saw, and chainsaw. trimming a palm tree and some neglected ligustrums in my front yard. I tweaked my achilles and have a limp this morning.

I hate getting old. How are things up there?

No actually. I got clear of the danger. Then something made me stop and turn around. Should have kept driving and just said frick it.

I wasn’t going back to save anybody. There wasn’t any point. I don’t know what it was. Morbid curiosity maybe. I was more worried about the store owner.

That whole area is fricked. I do my work there in the mornings because no one else is up. I wouldn’t even have normally been there but got called out to an emergency issue. That was fixed before I got there.

I was just looking at him and thinking “that dude is incredibly dead.”

He was probably a street corner crack dealer with about $1200 cash in his pockets. You could have rifled his pockets and used that money.

Too soon?

Seriously, right now you just need to make a concerted effort to enjoy your time. It is hard, but you will get through this. It is going to take some time. Enjoying a good steak and spending more time with those you are close with is a good start.

Maybe you need to get a bottle and a couple of shot glasses and go have a shot with the Asian store owner. You seem like a pretty good dude and I am sorry this was thrown your way.

Morning. Woke up at 230 and couldn't go back to sleep. Decided to hit the gym at 3am, which is a first that early. Lots of coffee today

I mean...in reality it was just another dead dindu. Probably gonna have another one dead in the next couple days in retaliation.

The weird thing is I don’t feel bad, sad, mad. I don’t feel anything. Just numb. Like when your foot is asleep. And it doesn’t hurt but it isn’t comfortable. I want to rest but I can’t. and now it’s Almost time for work again.

Guess i’ll Put some coffee on and then deal with it. World doesn’t stop because some stranger got got near me.
If I hadn’t been there I wouldn’t have given the slightest shite.

So all this rambling doesn’t even make sense

Better look again.

It could very well be an opossum.

Morning LCA

I’ve been wishing I had a cement pond all summer long. Catching walleye off the docks.
