Wat?

2018 was parish’s lowest crime total in 22 years

This is what our government should be doling out tens of millions of dollars in grant money to study.

Did I miss in the article where it says he stole Sheriff Champagne’s patrol car?

Did they ever release the name of the deputy whose patrol car was stolen

That is the east side of the business park. There is a small canal there that sets the boundary. West side of the canal is the business park, East side is a trailer park.

How in the world do you let a 110 pound man, take control of a crime scene and drive away in an officers patrol car never to be seen again?

It happened right at the SCP and JP border on the east bank in st rose.

Let's not act like this started on the west bank and there was a chase across the hale Boggs bridge.

Understood. It still doesn't seem normal that JPSO wouldn't have 20 officers all over this chase. When someone farts and it smells wrong, they are out in force with the quickness.

BTW, I've never heard of or said negative things about St. Charles Parish Sheriff's dept.

I’ve never heard of allowing handcuff criminals to take an officers patrol vehicle for a spin never to be seen again. What a great police department!

That is if State Police is doing their job or running personal errands instead while on the clock.

And the population has grown tremendously in that time. My neighborhood is full of people who fled Jefferson and New Orleans. The only break in attempt we had was many years ago and the punks were from Kenner. BTW, idiots tried to break into a cops house in a one way in/out subdivision. The never got out of the house.

I didnt say you did. Just letting you know the SUV was stolen right at the parish line. It's not like they had time to setup a roadblock

Lots of transplants from JP in my parents subdivision also. Only crime has been from people from JP coming break into newcomers garages.

He's been the sheriff for most of my lifetime and that's for damn good reason.

What an odd thread hating on the sheriff in one of the safest parishes.
