The Plaquemine WaterFront Park in Plaquemine might be a spot for some good photos.

Krotz Springs baw. You can photograph cops giving tickets for doing 36 in a 35.

Just take Hwy 71 from 190 all the way through Alexandria to Natchitoches.
You'll drive through plenty of cool little run down towns.

I can't remember what it was called off the top of my head...not much left but the bank vault, some chimneys and a cistern or two now, but there is a very good historical display where it stood...
I'll try to figure it out...
ETA: town was called Rocky Springs, MS...

Depends on what you are interested in.
Avery island is nice for a bit of wildlife and such
Natchitoches for some nice homes, brick roads
