Cant recall if that route goes through colfax and on up to Natchitoches but if so, some trivia; Along the way about 15 miles from Natchitoches a town called Montgomery claims to be the oldest in the state. Not much there other than a flashing light and a few small businesses. Some history there to see.

I lived there for a few years, good people.

I guess they're going on the technicality that Natchitoches wasn't incorporated until 1819

Columbia has a beautiful church and cemetery, probably lots of stuff there too.
