Most places in Gonzales are good at checking for fake ID's, mainly because most have been busted for serving minors. Now all have the machine you swipe that verifies the ID.

If I run a check on her, and she doesn't come up anywhere in the system, that tells you what you need to know right there. Would you take a chance, as a 31 year old cop, with banging a chick that alleges she is 18 years old, but doesn't come up in the national database that they have access to?

Not really, but it's easy and done all the time. All that happens is that the database monitors may contact you (through your database ID) and question you as to why you just ran a check on this person.
"I stopped a young girl for jaywalking, questioned her to make sure she had no warrants, she had no ID, and this is the name that she gave me". Anything like that, and you should be good to go.

See above. And yes, it is, but as a cop about to bang a girl in my department vehicle while on duty, that I don't know and could possibly be under age, it's "less" of a felony than rape.
And it's only a felony if they can prove you used it for personal reasons. It's easy to come up with a valid reason for doing the search and sadly it's done.
