I don't know what to tell you. As others have pointed out different girls develop at different rates. Some still look 13 when they're 20 and some look 20 when they're 13.
Look at that girl from Modern Family. Didn't she have to have a breast reduction even before she turned 18?
Bottom line, nowadays oftentimes you just can't go by what a girl looks like to tell how old she really is.
ETA: I think you and I are about the same age so I think you'll agree with me that one thing that's different now is the styles girls wear. Back when we were teens in the 80's teen girls tended to have a style of dress that was different from girls in their 20's. Nowadays that's no longer the case.

I feel like he has to walk for this. Definitely lose his job but criminal charges and jail time seem a little bit crazy. He got hustled, but he's not a rapist.

Def. agree, and as I said to Chad, they do look older know w/ clothes and makeup.
Still he's 31. I just feel like at 31, plus him being a "detective", he shoulda had some conte3xt clues.

So they look older now with clothes and makeup but you should still be able to pick out the underage ones via context clues? I'm confused.
If it walks like a duck, sound like a duck, and says to you "I'm duck," why would you have any reason to think otherwise?

Well it's been so long since I was in the dating game (just over 20 years) and things have changed so much I can't say for sure how I'd have handled the situation back when I was single. I guess the best course of action nowadays is to make her produce some sort of ID before doing anything past shaking hands if she looks even remotely like she could be under 25.

So you think it's impossible for a 14 yr old girl to pass herself off as an 18 yr old? Hell, with the early age a lot of girls are hitting puberty nowadays, I'd bet a lot of them are just about as physically developed as their going to get by the time they're 14.
I'm not saying it's right to go bang them, just that it would be hard to tell they're only 14 just based on looks alone.
