This is an awful situation. He even stated who he was and what he did for a living and she told him she was 18.
When you meet up with a date it's not like you just go card them. I hope they go easy on him given he wasn't trying to lure an underage person. I understand it's still wrong but it appears he was being honest here.

Can't say for this girl, but my oldest daughter has looked damn near the same since she was twelve or 13 and she'll be 18 in a few months. Hell, she grew and matured early and can still wear her clothes from 4th grade. And no pics perverts.
The wife was the same. Virtually no difference between ages 14 and about 19-20. And if you want pics...go find them.

I was out downtown after spanishtown last Mardi Gras, so I guess February 2015. I started talking to this girl who said she was 21. Hot, great body, tight shirt and short tight shorts. She had her own drink and I had my own drink already. Well, We were talking for about 20 minutes and it just felt weird so I told her I was going to ask her a question and she had to answer right away and not hesitate and I would buy her drinks the rest of the day and night. He's fricking 31 she's 14. If he can't control his urges and spot a 14 yo by her voice or behavior he shouldn't be a cop and he should join fogle in prison. He's a detective who failed at his job. What's he doing picking up women in his cop car at night if he's a good dude? Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Yep, When they were kicking arse and taking names in the 90's, one of the Cowboys players had sex with an underage girl. Didn't get in trouble because he picked her up in a topless bar. A man isn't worrying about her age when she's stripping for a living. Imagine the club got into some trouble for featuring her on stage number four.

I hate this, i believe he should be punished as he did technically did sleep with an underage girl.
But i dont believe he should spend the rest of his life in prison because of a mistake and lapse in judgement
This is actually a big fear of mine. I seem to remember a case where someone met a girl at the club, took her home. Banged her and later in trouble cuz she turned out to be like 15. Even though she lied about her age multiple times and even had a fake ID to back it up.
My rule is, if you have to question how old she is, just stay far far away.

He rolled the dice and crapped out. I guarantee somewhere in his mind he thought she might be underage. He probably didn't think 14 but I'm sure 17 entered his head as a possibility. Normal men his age would never want to screw a 18 year old in the first place. He should have never put himself in this situation to begin with. He knew it was wrong, he just didn't expect to get caught.

I teach at large high school I've mistaken kids for subs and subs for kids on multiple occasions.
