They're running it, which goes to show how little actual "cancel" there is in "cancel culture."

If you find anything in that movie offensive or problematic, you probably need to go ahead an kill yourself.

Always cracks me up that the same people who want to be the party of resistance can't handle a fricking make believe movie

Well, if you aren’t a weak minded pussy and super insecure with yourself, the movie won’t bother you.

Wrong. I have zero problem with things being presented with a disclaimer “this is from a different period of time with drastically different social mores. To alter to would be to alter art, like covering up a nude painting. If your sensitivities can’t handle it, don’t watch it.”

What HBO did originally was remove it entirely. A criterion collection film removed to placate little snowflakes that lack the intelligence to understand that we live in very different times and just because something from the past offends them NOW, it doesn’t make it bad, or evil. It should be consumed for it’s value as a work of art and appreciated for what it is, not what it isn’t.

Unfortunately, there are many on this site who match that description. Utterly pathetic.

They’ll clutch their pearls at this, then go watch the “Wet arse Pussy” video and promote Drag Queen Story Time.

They have zero perspective

I’ve been watching reruns of The Waltons lately and when I was a kid and they were airing on TV as a regular series back in the day, I never paid any attention to it, but now I do. Rural family openly discussing things like faith, baptism, accepting Christ, etc, and all without ridiculing or putting it in a negative light. This was an extremely popular series on regular television that was riddled with wholesome moral messages every show, and absolutely NONE of it would be aired today in this climate we find ourselves in today, but you can be certain that you will have your daily dose of subverted garbage shoved down your gullet at will with no warnings or concern if you’re offended by the content

The same ilk are those who put warnings that they might be offended by Gone with the Wind. You’ll never see a warning to viewers before airing any of the filth they show in their television series today that it might be offensive or problematic to people who aren’t hedonists and trying to raise their children correctly and with traditional morals and values.

I find the warnings that it might be offensive absolutely laughable given who these people are in the first place.

They are just covering their arse, just in case.. But whoever made an issue out of that was trying too hard.

I saw this black girl I know tweet out "they done gone too far. They taking off Gone with the Wind. Me and my momma used to watch that movie all the time".

That seems like something some "woke" white people decided because they think they should be the voice of telling us what is offensive to black people and what is not.

The warning should instead read “this movie is really long and boring after the Civil War part ends”

They usually have ratings (7, 14, Mature) with code letters like L (language) and V (violence).
