This. Actual country artists in the 80s and 90s made bank on it’s popularity and then artists who weren’t authentic migrated to the genre then it became too corporate and watered down and now we have shitty pop country and bro country.

He was rejected by Nashville in the 70s. So he found a niche in LA with the Cowpunk scene.
