Golf Course Flag Pins

So I decided to go play a round of golf yesterday and the course I decided to play at did not have any carts or push carts.
My buddies and I were like ok we don’t mind carrying our bags.
Fast forward to the end of the first hole, I go and try and pull out the flag and it wouldn’t come out. They ended up locking the flag in the hole to reduce multiple people touching it. Any other golfers had this happen?

Golf board.
Yes. Don’t touch the pin, just grab your ball, not hard.

Nobody has been pulling pins since this started.

Yes. Probably everyone who’s played in the last month has learned this

First time in Denver we have had consistently warm weather for about a week.

The course that I’m a member at installed pvc around the pins inside the cup. Your ball still goes in but you can’t take the pin out

I thin this should be a permanent change, it helps speed up the game.

I prefer putting to an empty hole vs one with a pin in it

I'll ask my assistant about it the next time I'm on the links. He's the only one touching that filthy flag.

Yep, I died 2 weeks ago after pulling the pin from the hole during a round. Should have stayed home.

The course I play has those swimming noodles cut to fit just under the lip of the cup so the ball doesn't go to the bottom of the cup for easy removal while the pin is still in.

If we want to donate to a charity in lieu of flowers, where would we send that?

I touch my pin several times a day. Then I grab my balls but like you said “not hard”.
Or you can hire a caddy to touch your pin and grab you balls for you.
