Golden Nugget Lake Charles - Sportsbook Lounge

Has anybody been to Golden Nugget in Lake Charles recently to see the sportsbook? Has the actual 10,000 square foot room been completed or is still just the betting kiosk?

I was there about a month ago and only the kiosk was open. The main sportsbook was still under construction.

Are there any other true Vegas-style sportsbook lounges in the state? Everyone I’ve seen is just a kiosk.

I’m subcontracted and have been working out there for the past month. It took the place of the old buffet and has huge screens on every wall and even has screens over the bar. This project has been going on since demo started in February and most likely costs millions.
Our part finished up Tuesday. They were planning on opening today, but the electricians still had a lot more to go so not sure if it’s opening on time.

L'Auberge in Lake Charles is and has been open. Very nice!

Paragaon in Marksville surprisingly has a nice area.
We went to the Barstool sportsbook at L'auberge in Lake Chuck for March Madness this season. Has potential to be nice but it's ran by morons.

I hate this place, but mostly because the last time I went there I got food poison. I threw up in bed, needed new sheets and it took 3 calls and 2.5 hrs before they brought new sheets which smelled likes smoke.

Was at the Nugget 2 days ago. It’s not quite ready. They were hiring last week. BIL is doing the AC work. It should be real nice.
IMO Barstool at Lauberge in LC is not very good. Service is not good. Staff is poor. Don’t care for the setup. Haven’t been to FanDuel SB at Delta Downs or the Rez SB at Coushatta. Heard both were nicer than Barstool

On a side note the Horseshoe Casino in Westlake at the I-10 bridge will reopen soon with a Ceasars Sportsbook inside. Hopefully nice.
