I won’t be in the market for a 2019 model until 2026, but I’ll check them out then.

Thanks for the tip.

Not really the same. GMC still makes a base model. You arent getting a Lexus with cloth and zero features. Those brands are related, but there is a distinct difference and the luxury version is obvious. Very little if any overlap (i.e. a fully loaded toyota is maybe a base Lexus). Thats not even close to the GMC/Chevy relationship. GMC is only slightly nicer at an equivalent level.

if anything, its Cadillac that's the luxury line, a la Lincoln, Infiniti, Acura, etc.

gmc and chevy are equals, with really the only difference being the Denali line.

The Black Label Navigator is the real deal.

Americsn SUVs are only luxury vehicles to people who've never owned anything from Europe.

Then you bought one with substantially less equipment than the truck you test drove.

No, it was an SLT vs the LTZ all star edition. Chevy was willing to negotiate.

Denali is ballin’. GMC doesn’t have to go totally luxury since they have Denali.

Not a thing. There is not $10k in difference in price on those trucks. You either git a terrible price on the GMC, or just didn't even try to find a deal. You can buy an SLT or an LTZ for roughly the same price. They also sticker at almost the exact same.

+1

I've owned one and it was an utter piece of shite. Didn't even make it to 100,000 miles.

I’ve had great luck with Chevrolet trucks.

I would get a GMC Yukon Denali in a heartbeat if I could justify a new car right now. They look really good in black.

I wish I could buy the equivalent if a 1998 Z71 but brand new. But nothing newer in tech than 1999 other than safety.
. Modern trucks are just too expensive

Everything costs more than it did in 1998

I won’t say that trucks haven’t outpaced inflation, but if you adjust for inflation, I don’t think it’s as drastic as it seems.

don’t know if it is a regional thing or not but I was at a chemical meeting yesterday that was basically all farmers. We got to noticing all of the trucks were either Chevrolet’s or GMC’s. E

Seems to be a regional thing. Here in Texas I notice way more Fords. I probably see as many Rams as GMs. Lot of Tundras too. In Louisiana it’s split pretty evenly between ford and GM with fewer Rams and very few Tundras. Just my anecdotal observation.

I've noticed ford is more popular in the Midwest and GMC/chevy is more popular in the south.

I got to tell you having driven Sierra's since high school, My latest truck is a '14 Raptor. And while i love my raptor i miss how my '08 Sierra drove.

And my next truck will be a GMC unless i want to get the next Raptor version. And it will probably be a 2500HD because i dont have anything that needs a diesel to tow, but i want to hang some truck nuts on it.
