For some reason conservatives have it ingrained into them that anyone who is pro-ev or even someone who just recognizes that evs will eventually be the norm is some tree hugging ecofascist hypocrite who wants to ban oil.
It’s hilarious.

It’s nowhere near affordable.
The first flat-screen plasma TV my parents bought in like 05 was $3k. The same sized TV with 5x better quality is now like $400

I think the gigafactories Tesla has scaling up around the world show a different trend altogether.
They have survived the prototype and production line creation problems that can bankrupt billionaires. If we are legit looking at gigafactories in Germany and China on top of the ones in the United States coming online over the next few months and years then things are changing incredibly fast and we should pay attention.
Each of those can produce hundreds of thousands of vehicles annually and no other car manufacturer seems close to that in EV sphere.
We will see in time. If you are curious you could also compare Tesla with the traditional automobile producers when it comes to EV production and take note
If they are going to make awesome cars that take less money to maintain I am in. Till then I will wait. I am optimistic about Tesla and pessimistic about the other American manufacturers based on trajectory.

You shouldn’t dismiss the skeptics as stupid or misinformed. Some of them have legitimate reasons to prefer ICE vehicles now. And they are even more justified in being skeptical of what the media or their own government is pushing.
Coming from someone who had a deposit on a Cybertruck until I learned that we are moving to a semi-rural area.

Where do we dispose of the toxic waste from all of these vehicles????

Let me know when EVs are reduced to near 10% of the current prices.

In the abandoned lithium mines, duh.

Why would the average consumer care about that?

EV's are ready for the masses yet, but acting like they're some fad, government conspiracy, or only for AOC types is moronic

Nah, what's hilarious is that people like you are cheerleading the government to ram this shite down everyone's throats.
I'll own a Rivian truck in the next two or three years after they work the kinks out based on what I need. But you government cocksuckers are a strange bunch.

Link to one of my posts saying anything of the sort?
Or are you just a lying sack of shite?

Rather obvious since you shite all over anyone who doesn't suck the EV cock.

I feel about the same way about the EV fanboys that don't recognize that there are serious drawbacks to the technology at this point for a lot of people.

It's rather funny that I fully plan on never buying an ICE vehicle ever again.
Yet my response to this thread, and the response by Kilroy and Mingo, are rather starkly different.

Not really. You just live perpetually butthurt

I think Ms. Rita could be in for a bit of a shock when it comes to how often EVs need (or don't need) service. Teslas don't even require any scheduled maintenance anymore.
You are utterly retarded if you seriously believe this is true.

I do?
I shite all over people who have shitty arguments like saying evs are a terrible product because they don’t beat out ICE in every single use case that could ever exist.
My other favorite is people’s arguments being dependent on technology never improving in the future.
Or the worn out “EVs are bad for the environment” argument. Who cares?

Yes, you do.
Next question.

There are too many negatives for me to consider an EV anytime soon (charging at home, charging time, range, availability etc). Once they get to a point where they are better than ICE vehicles the market would just work itself out. But that's not what is going to happen.
