BTW, you don’t see Gillette running anti man ads anymore. They certainly felt the sting of lower sales - pretty much the opposite of what an ad us supposed to do, unless your company is under the sway of some progressive lunacy.
See, I understand that there is a large percentage of people who don’t think like me, and I live and work with them just fine. But when they start slinging arrows, I’m not going to support them, am I?

Schick Hydro 5 is better in my opinion and as far as I'm aware Schick didn't cave to the PC crowd .

I normally laugh at boycotts but that ad really did damage their bottom line.

It is working. Gillette sales crashed after they told their most loyal customers to frick off.
I was a loyal customer for almost three decades. I’m done with them for good. They haven’t cleaned house at P&G yet to purge the people responsible. Plus they continually lie about the massive drop in sales in their stock reports, claiming shaving trends rather than them shitting on their customers.

Watched that link, and watched the commercial. I didn’t interpret the commercial as anti-man at all, and Rogan’s entire rant was a non-sequitor. Now, he’s right that “people don’t like being lectured to”, which I think sums up 99% of the outrage, because beyond that, I think people would have a hard time articulating what the commercial said or did that they find objectionable.
But hey, I bought a giant stack of my yellow boxes a decade ago, so I haven’t bought anything from Gillette since then, and won’t be for years in the future. Maybe they will be cool again by then
