actually you are wrong. Shrimp does not mean small. A shrimp is a decapod crustacean. It is not an oxymoron, it is describing a decapod crustacean as being large.

So if someone calls you a shrimp, they're actually calling you a decapod crustacean? Prolly not but if it makes you feel better

This is called slang. They are telling you that you are small like a shrimp. But in the OP the term shirmp means a decapod crustacean. But don't worry, most people are too stupid to realize this.

And althoug I'm right, don't take it personnally. I just feel like being an e-badass today.

That is some clever photography. The Outdoor Board would be proud of that hoist.

Yep. Regular mantis shrimp with camera perspective making it look huge.

My 14 yo nephew and his friends took a 14" trout, hung it from the rafters of a boathouse with fishing line, stood 5 ft behind it, and took pics. Looked like it was 10 lbs. Too bad you could see the fishing line.

This and they're not quite sure what the species is according to the FWC Facebook page.

I don't know why they always say things like that just to cover their arse. It's clearly a mantis shrimp. Some badass mofos

This is probably my favorite video of mantis shrimp ever.

From Merriam Webster - " a small shellfish that has a long body and legs and that is eaten as food" and "a very small or unimportant person" and "a very small or puny person or thing"
