Seriously. Keep away from ponds and lakes when walking your dogs in gator territory. How complex is that?

Forgot to bump this a while back. They got the gator that ate Millie. Cut her out of its stomach, gave her a proper burial.

If an eagle or hawk did it nobody would try to get them taken out

When I lived in Florida this shite happened a ton. Animals were eaten all the time. People lost feet and legs dangling them off socks and piers in calm bodies of water. Be smarter Florida people

True, but a hawk or eagle couldn't have done that to this dog.

Not very big at all. There were two small ponds with a road running between them, and he was probably going back and fourth between them. I could throw a baseball and hit the opposite bank on both of them probably.

Well, if there are any "missing pets" signs hanging up in that area, I think you can take them down now. Mystery solved.

Wow. Seems like a huge gator for a neighborhood pond.

Maybe I’m weird but I think I’d skip pulling a dog out of the gator to bury her. That seems traumatic. But I guess they were likely hacking up the gator anyway.

Saw a video yesterday of a gator getting a dog. Poor thing slid down one of those concrete embankments

I think I saw that same video. It was a crocodile in Mexico, I believe.
