We have been together for a little over a year and her family is constant with it. Her sister brings it up every chance she gets and her mother throws in remarks as well. The only person I don't hear it from his her. I guess it's a good thing that they like me but damn...it gets old especially since I haven't given it much thought. I damn sure ain't proposing if I have to go in to debt for a ring so it might be awhile before i do start giving it thought.

dear facebook.....

Stop being a cheap POS and put a ring on it.

Otherwise, she’s going to start playing hide the pickle with your friends

Just go for it and don’t put much thought into it. What’s the worst that can happen?

Wait 'til you've been together over 7 years and have still both decided to wait

Try to take it as it's likely meant- in a good way and that they like you and want you to be an official part of their family.

And absolutely wait until you both decide if/when it is time.

Just do it and start a family. Seriously, you will not regret it.

They must be surprised that she found someone that tolerates her.

Go for it. Getting married is a rite of passage in life. You're a huge loser if you dont go through the wedding process.

Take her sister aside and say with a wink,

"why buy the cow, when I'm fricking the milk for free?"

Don't be that a-hole that dates a girl in her late 20's and hasn't even thought about marriage. Pretty selfish. Put a ring on it or move on.

Bring on the down votes!

If you've been together for over a year and you're in your late 20s, you're not far from the sweet spot for most engagements. Nearly half of all engagements in the US happen by the 2 year anniversary.
