That’s the important question that should be the determining factor

Buy one but not as a gift.

In OT terms, this would be known as the ole switcheroo.

Her nickname is Hoover I bet!!!

I’ve heard the only vacuuming in marriage is the siphoning off of the bank account. Tread lightly

Trap all day and twice on Sunday my friend. Please don't do this. It will not end well for you and will haunt you for a long, long, long , long , long time.

Just don't let anybody make a commercial about it.

That’s what I got mine :/ she hinted at wanting one but I’ve given some pretty horrible gifts over the years

I like the one she has already!

I'm not even reading through this thread, but I assume they'll be lots of 'sucking' comments made throughout. Mostly poor attempts at being funny.

A vacuum is not a gift. Certainly buy the vacuum (along with any domestic appliance) if she wants it. Mount a new Dyson on the wall tomorrow.

Don’t do it because you will be the one responsible for doing it because it seems like you GF can’t clean shite

My GF said something to help with housework would always help. I am absolutely positive she was meaning I should help with housework...but I do the play dumb thing very well when I need to so she is getting a robot vacuum as one of her presents.

It’s not a trap.
It’s a symptom.
What she really wants is Peloton. Surprise her.

How well do you know her? Why would you think it's a trap?
A practical woman should be considered a joy.
My first husband bought me a fur coat and a bunch of jewelry, none of which I asked for. I would have been much happier with a kayak, a concealed carry handgun, sporting event tickets, or yard/kitchen equipment. Last year I got kitchen countertops, backsplash, and composite giant kitchen sink that we installed ourselves and I was elated.
