Applied for a new job a few weeks ago. Got a response and had a phone interview that obviously went well enough to be brought in for the official one.

Interviewed with three different managers and then the team of 12 that I would be working with. Walked out feeling like it went really well...

Today I got the we have chosen a different path email... :/

Oh well... on to the next one. At least I already have a good job.

yep.

I know I was completely qualified for the job. My guess is they had someone else that was possibly better qualified or asked for less. Or both.

Being cheated on
Losing your career all together
Being turned down when you’re actually unemployed
Many folks would love to take your place!

Sorry that you didn’t get the job.

They’ll be other prospects come up, whether inside your present organization or outside of it.

Hang in there and good luck.

I know what you mean. I interviewed for 2 jobs about a week apart. One was in the field I was proficient in, and the other was starting a whole new career with better pay, but starting at the bottom again.

I got offered the new career job and jumped on it, and never even heard back from the managers of the field I was proficient in. Heard through the grapevine that they offered it to another candidate.

Really enjoy the work I do now, so I wasn’t too upset about it, but the lack of courtesy chapped me pretty badly.

Hang in there man. It was probably a family member or a friend of a friend deal. God may have a better one coming to you

A job is a job, even if you believe it to be your career.

Keep things in perspective. What you experienced is disappointment and that comes with life and having expectations and goals,.There are plenty of things that are certainly much worse, especially when dealing with someone’s health.

Put yourself first, family second and work third —- and in that order always, because if you mix them up and get them out of order, one will surely start to suffer.

Coming home after working a job overseas for over two years, making a respectful six-figure income, to zero money and twice the amount of debt before you left.....and a wife who's decided not she don't wanna be your wife no more.

That, and backlashing every reel in the boat just when the specks start thrashing the surface.....

Hang tight baw, there another opportunity coming, just be ready when it comes.

Don’t feel bad, most times when this happens they already have a marked candidate or someone internally and they are forced to go through the paces so it appears they did their due diligence.

You were fodder, don’t take it personally.

There's no way of knowing that. This could have been OPs last chance at a better life.
