Practically everywhere will allow you to fully renounce taking part in an estate succession. The more complicated issue is whether you’re allowed to renounce some parts but accept others. If they don’t want anything, that’s easy. If they just don’t want the timeshare, there be dragons

Which is why it’s generally not allowed. Performance based obligations tend to be treated differently than debts. I just don’t know where a timeshare would fall on that continuum, and I imagine it would be jurisdiction specific.

Depending on where it's at there might be someone willing to buy it. It will only be pennies on the dollar and will probably have a transfer fee. Get in the mind set that if you can get rid of it for 0 dollars you will be ahead of the game.
