Oh im still writing - just started out a couple years ago and ended biting off more than i can chew and have a big backstory and all know trying to edit it down and figure out where to start. Plus am doing writing exercises / figuring out how to write prose.

I'm gonna probably send it out a few times but if that doesnt work and i feel like the writing is good enough ill just self publish / ebooks

Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp,

Why do you feel like you have to be Babe Ruth or something? Can't you just enjoy knocking the ball around with your friends?

I just gave up and bought a Bawcomville tee shirt. Also, I drink more whiskey/bourbon now that I realize it.

That's why I always dreamed of being a munitions accountant. Now look at me- senior munitions accountant. Just makes every bullet I count that much more fun.

God damn baw, that’s heavy. The problem with setting goals and having dreams is everyone is focused on the finish line. You forget that it’s a process and everything leading to you achieving your goals is also a goal. So whenever I decide I wanna do something I always work it backwards. When I break it down it always ends with a very simple task that starts you on your path, and you just do them. Knock out the tasks like a chore list and bam, you’ve achieved your goal. It’s the small goals that lead to the achievements of major goals. So completing those small tasks feels great all the while leading you down the right path

Decide what is truly important to you and focus on that. Set other hobbies and pursuits aside until you master that one thing that’s important.

My parents discouraged unrealistic dreams like “being a famous singer” or whatever way back when I was young. So my expectations were low. I’m very happy in life as a result.

Being realistic =/= settling for less.
