Tailgating before the 2004 LSU-UGA game.
Some UGA rednecks threw a garter snake into our tailgate area. I specifically remember one guy telling us to "get back to the swamp, you frickin' coonasses". For a brief moment, my friends and I began drunkenly throwing punches with these guys.
After a few seconds, this enormous, older UGA fan bear-hugged me from behind and said, "Son, if you and your boys stay cool, we'll make sure those guys don't bother you. You better stay cool. Let's have a good game today."
Fight broke up quickly. Only problem the rest of the day was the damn game.

I'm 43 and I've gotten in 2 "altercations" in the last 15 years...both had to do with a guy getting too friendly with my wife.
One I just grabbed him by the arm and said if he touches my wife again I'll beat him so bad his family will disown him. The other I took the cigarette out of his mouth and threw it in his face. Punches were never thrown.

I have a buddy in his 50’s who decided to have a mid life crisis and date a Vegas stripper. I told him it was a huge mistake. They are at one of those big pool party events standing in a line and some drunk baw grabs her arse. He hauls off and decks the guy. One would think that was a reasonable response. Now for the rest of the story.
Casino security snatches him up and lays a pretty decent beat down on him. None of the witnesses saw the arse grab so he gets arrested. Guy he decked claims neck injury and sues him and casino for a gazillion bucks. He has to hire civil and criminal lawyers to fight the charges. He has a ton of work trouble because of the pending criminal charges and almost gets fired over it. Three years and ten thousand dollars later it all finally clears up. Stripper girlfriend is long gone at this point. He will be the first to tell you that short of defending your life, a physical altercation is the last thing you want.

Always best to walk away. You dont know what the other guy is capable of. You also dont know if he is such a pussy that one punch will really frick him up. You could end up dead or in some legal trouble.

I can’t believe no one has brought up a stadium fight yet, there has to be some good trashy stories about those and they are the worst. Nothing freaking worse then sitting on a bleacher seat trying to stay in between a fight between two drunk idiots and the girls you are with.
