No, that’s not correct. The belief has to be reasonable. You can’t go around shooting people because you feel scared. It’s an objective standard and a jury of his peers will determine whether his feelings were reasonable or not.
That misunderstanding has gotten many a baw in deep shite.

It’s not clear what the pan handler actually did and wouldn’t suprise me if he was cracked out and really got in their faces who knows. But also wouldn’t surprise me if having the gun on him subconsciously made the guy feel more "threatened" and felt the need to take action. I’m not anti gun but I do think in the hands of some people it gives them this sort of mindset that escalates situations.

I know for a fact I’ve been to Trader Joe’s and seen a panhandler aggressively hit up women for money. Finding them when they’re compromised, walking in between cars and waiting for them to get out of their car completely then pin them in between the cars

I blame SWB for this. She has let the pandhandlers get out of control.
