A theme park in Germany was forced to close their new ride Eagle Fly after people said it looked like “flying swastikas.”

Park guests reported the resemblance to Tatzmania theme park in Löffingen after it debuted.

quote:

Rüdiger Braun, the owner of the park, said he didn’t realize the resemblance until the video circulated online.

He told SWR: “I’d like to stress how sorry we are to anyone who has felt at all insulted by this design.”

A guest at the park added: “Of course you have to watch what you make, this is a very sensitive area.”

The ride will be redesigned to make it more appropriate.

In Germany, Nazi symbols and propaganda such as swastikas are illegal under the German Criminal Code section 86a.

It states that the “use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations” is banned, with punishments up to three years.

Either that’s an unfortunate coincidence or the theme park is trying to organize the Fourth Reich via subliminal messages.

I didn't see it at first. And was ready to call them too sensitive, but yeah. That looks exactly like a pair of swastikas.

Nothing subliminal about it. I rode that ride and when I got off I suddenly and inexplicably felt very strong contempt for the Treaty of Versailles.

Normally I would be here to call them sensitive, but that ride does look like 2 swastikas who the hell designed it, what's worse is that it's in Germany as well.

There's no way that was an accident. I guess they were trying to say this amusement park ride is superior to all others.

Thank goodness the Nazis didn't use a circle to represent them.
Imagine having to get rid of wheels on cars because of the snowflakes
