Sounds like a cut and dried frick the popo but the fact that dad tested positive makes it seem like he just passed his own joint to his son. If they knew the redneck Macon cops were bearing down on them then dad should have kept his arse clean

Two things.

The parents were idiots for telling anyone other than their medical doctor.

Sometimes you just need to move to the country. I don’t live in the sticks but I can see why it fits certain folks needs. No neigbors equals nobody in your business.

Well, until the law is changed, what exactly would you like to happen?

Family court judges are supposed to act in the best interests of the child which in this case means anything other than deliberately causing him to have seizures.

the parents went straight to drugs? did they even try a healthy legal dose of Jesus?
I think Jesus said something about using some like herbs and other things provide in nature for food and medicine. Or did the devil create certain plants now?

In society it is.

Morally it isn't.

Parents did what was best for their child. That action happens to be illegal in our society.

I'm not an advocate of weed being illegal, but it is. Acting in the best interest of their child, they still broke the law.

Now was the punishment appropriate considering the circumstances? My opinion is it was most definitely not.

God created all the flowers and plants in the world. Then the devil told God "hold my beer" and created the tGOAT plant.

A 15 year old smoking every day, possibly multiple times a day, indefinitely, is less than ideal. I wonder if they tried safer choices like edibles or prescription dronabinal first?

There is a good chance this was the most affordable and available option where they live. If this story includes allll the facts of the situation, it is outrageous they are enduring this.

Georgia arrests parents

Well, I would like to believe the parents, but after dad admitted that he always tested the MJ before giving it to his son, I cant take them at their word

Why? It fits with why he and the son tested positive but not the mom.

“MJ” and “15 year old son” don’t belong in the same sentence

The pharma drugs that weren't helping his seizures or the marijuana drugs?

If he was concerned about the quality of it, testing it on himself before giving it to his adolescent is a pretty week comparison.

Epilepsy treatments have a narrow therapeutic index. The father couldn’t have detected a 10% difference in potency or the presence of harmful additives.

I’m for total legalization either way, but his argument that he was smoking to test it for safety is kind of laughable from a medical perspective.

Dad has no medical purpose for the MJ. Hes just using his son to 'gain access'.

If the kid can really benefit from the MJ, then he can in a medically supervised setting, and dad can just be shite out of luck

You think this is why he was testing it?

Or maybe it was just a “if it’s gonna kill someone, let it be me” kinda situation.

I don’t think the father thought he was a weed testing robot.

Quite the assumption based on little to no evidence to support it.
