A town that size shouldn’t even have a police department

Georgetown, if my memory serves correctly, is the place where you are gassing it up a bit to get over the overpass and your car gains a bit of speed over the top. Ossifer Friendly is waiting for you as you descend.

Yep, got a ticket in this exact spot about 10 years ago.

Vidalia has only recently become a horrible speed trap. I lived in Natchez for nearly 2 decades and Vidalia was never anywhere close to as bad as it is now.

Where 165 meets 84, there are trees on the southeast side of the intersection. Often there is a local cop sitting in the shade in a dark gray Charger. Very hard to spot.

Not there, but I got an early morning ticket like that once. I was on 5-6mph over cruise control for a while in the right lane, come up to an 18wheeler so I get in the left lane to pass when we start going uphill some, so I pressed the gas some to go up and pass the truck. Cop on the other side and got me for 10ish over on the downward part.

Worse part that pissed me off was when the cop said..."just passing the truck weren't you?" SOB

Good, keep it up. Wish they’d go after the Caddo Parish Animal Shelter director. He’s a pos and those animals are suffering there and dying when rescues are wanting to pull.

Audit of town records bound to happen. If this is the first instance it occurred I'd be surprised.

165 from Iowa to Columbia is one continous speed trap. One poor town after the other looking for revenue however they can get it.

it definitely used to. Remember when I first started college in Monroe it being 35. Think they raised it in like ‘15 or ‘16

that’s Toulos isn’t it? Was thinking about that intersection the other day during the Fenton thread.

It's gotten a lot better since 165 was 4-laned. Before that, all those little towns had 35mph speed limits.

I’ve been in a duck/ deer camp on the outskirts of Wilmot,AR for years, and we would go down to Bonita to get beer on Sunday. No matter how much you bought on Friday you always had to have some more Sunday. Anyway, they was a cop that would sit in an old abandoned cotton gin and stop your arse if you were going 5 mph over or 10 mph under. That MFer would stop someone from the camp weekly.
