I'll say this, tatted up guy was holding his own until they got separated at the 1:35 mark. Not sure if it was one his friends or not, but someone grabbed him and that's what allowed flannel shirt to start kicking his arse.

Tat was still in the fight but flannel had slammed him down from pretty high. The guy that grabbed Tat also pulled him away and separated them, so I'd call that a fair restart but then flannel got back on him quick. Fwiw people are grabbing at flannel too. Think maybe they were bar security or something.

Perhaps MMA is the cause for all of these kids trying to throw kicks.

Yeah I think MMA definitely has some influence especially with the kicking and punches combos when someone is on the ground. I also think humans are a bit more fricked up and desensitized these days.

It's just that area. The frat clubs let out into the ghetto clubs and it turns into a melting pot. They have cheap parking lots and garages right there. Trinity and 7th. It's fight central. The cops are everywhere accept for there. They haven't figured it out or they just don't care. It's not a reflection on Austin or pretty much the rest of downtown. It's drunk 21 year old testosterone fueled idiots from 2 different cultures walking together to their cars by the 1000's. Bad combo. Ben like that for 15 years.

You can't punch someone while they are on the ground in UFC?

And that's why I avoid Dirty 6th/surrounding blocks like the plague.

Old UFC, I think the only things off limits were biting and kicks to the groin. There weren't weight classes and it was bracket style with guys competing in multiple fights a night. Much different now.

I used to rent them at Blockbuster and also watch them with my cable box with a PPV chip in it

Me too. I remember renting them at Blockbuster. I remember one fight involving a skinny white guy versus a huge fat black guy.

ETA: This isn't it, but it was something like this.

ETA2: frick here it is.

Nah, the greatest part of that video was when the camera all of a sudden panned to flannel's crew wrecking shop on them dudes on the ground. They were working them boys over.

No such thing as fighting dirty, you're either fighting or you're not.

There aren't any rules to getting an arse kicking

Especially in situations like that, if you aren't hitting someone then you are getting hit

True... I guess that's why I always avoid them.
