I’m definitely considering a Genesis for my next car purchase. I’m likely 3-4 years out.
My Mercedes might as well have been an Accord if I got the base model. You have to add $10-12K of upgrades for it to actually feel like a premium car and not solely a badge. It’s BS that things like lane change warning is not standard.
Genesis offers everything the higher end luxury vehicles do at a 20-30% discount.

I really dislike the exterior styling of genesis, but the features, quality etc is top notch. I hope they are successful.

i have a 2015 base model and other than an issue with my driver's seat it's flawless and still has a long arse warranty
i have driven around a bunch of rich lawyer friends who all rave about it (and they've driven everything), and it's the base model
a used car dealer friend of mine always tells me they're reliable and maintain their great ride

Even though the older Genesis' were very plain looking on the outside, they always had a very luxurious interior. And very fine ride quality.
