My nephew is going to be 16 next year and probably won't get his license for a while. My sisters insurance would go up over an additional 300 a month is what she was quoted. Btw, he loves cars. Its just too much money..

If he's related to you, it's not that surprising.

My I let my boomer mom go for a spin in my car after I first got it. She said she knew how to drive stick.

That was almost a 3k+ trip around the block lol

Gen z is like 21 and under. I wouldn’t expect too many high school and college aged kids to be buying their own new cars

Not many nerds know how to take a joke, or even joke around anymore, period.

Sad. Getting my first car was one of the highlights of my teenage years.

That’s what you think. There will always be shitty drivers and it doesn’t discriminate by age. Just race and gender typically.

That’s why we need a wall. Keep the Louisiana people and their high premiums out of Texas

Oh well. Internet gives him all the escapism he needs, according to the little SJW author.

Can't wait for the lessened demand for the classics. I am going to be shopping for a nice FIA Cobra and a Miura. Maybe an original 240z or a early 70's 911 for an everyday driver. These kids can't give up driving and lose interest in the joys of motorsports soon enough as far as I am concerned.

You're out of luck there.

Classic cars follow what was popular when the current generation with the most buying power were kids/teens.

Gen Z isn't driving the price of cars from the 90s and before.

It's mostly the 60+ crowd driving lots of those prices up to insane levels and I was mostly joking. You're right that many cars won't recede in value, especially the cars with legit racing pedigree and cars like the Miura that are as much art as performance. In a few years the more middle of the road cars are going to start declining though. The markets for lots of 60's cars are already getting soft. Millennials and gen z never having experienced cars with soul will all but assure that they won't get into cars and the market for those cars will shrink.
