What does everyone usually do?

At my couple of local bars I frequent, I tip a minimum of 2-3 dollars regardless of the amount. Anything over $10 and I'll tip more. I've given bartenders $20 on a $30 tab before.

Nice thing is, I can walk into 3 bars for sure and get served before anyone else regardless of the crowd at the door.

Bars outside my neighborhood, $2 minimum, 20% on anything over $10

Yeah as long as liquor cost don't go above about 25% most owners turn a blind eye as long as your keeping customers happy, doing your job, and making money.

A single 1oz pour of crown is 8$.

DAMN.
That's ridiculous.

On a side note, I know rednecks love Crown Royal, I just can't seem to figure out why.
If someone really likes blended Canadian Whisky, there are several better than CR that are not outrageously priced like CR.

Yea the typical super popular yet completely overhauled liquors are way over priced. 8 for crown, 9 for patron, 10 for grey goose. However there is a replacement for each one that is at least half price. Same type and "level" , they just aren't the mainstream stuff

I work for a wanna be. It's corporate until our main owner, who lives 3000 miles away, comes in and motherfricks me for stupid stuff. His favorite line is "your replaceable, if you don't like it get the Frick out". I keep my head down when he's around. I'm just a kid trying to pay tuition. This is not my career.

I tip based on information my man gives me. Beer/Drinks are merely an excuse to collect information. A bar is merely a stop on the way to victory.Share the wealth or punish the enemy.

Yes.
I find the marketing behind those brands to be incredibly effective. The story behind Patron is particularly laughable.
Some people are such sheep. They will just drink whatever they think is popular instead of drinking something that's actually more enjoyable.

I used to suggest Seagram's VO to almost everyone that ordered Crown. It's a much better product at a much more reasonable price point.
Several people said they didn't like it as much as Crown, but all my friends that I have done a blind taste test with preferred the VO whether it was served neat, on the rocks, or with a splash.

That's what I push. It's 8$ for a double and in my opinion alot easier on me.

Hammertime you need to point me to your bar. For 6$ a double anything I could drown my sorrows with vigor.

$1 a single drink. Doesn't matter the cost. Few bucks for multi drink order.

It's like that at plenty of places. Hell, you can even go to Ms. Mae's and get a smaller one, but just as strong, for cheaper. IIRC, they are $3, but I'm always beyond drunk when I go there

Somehow I still manage to blow through money like it's going out of style. I just leave my money on the bar at a few places, so it eggs me on

walking up trying to get a drink in between people at the bar, dollar per drink, posted up at the bar, maybe 2-3 per drink, fat tab - 15-20% like going to dinner. No science for this, dollar a drink seems like a fair baseline and judge accordingly, bartenders have said similar things as far what they hope to get from patrons and it can go from 0-60 at any time for better or worse.

You think that's dumb. 17$ for a single crown reserve... If you price the bottle out at retail it is 2.45 an oz. It's even lower at cost

$17
for Crown Reserve

I wouldn't be able to keep from laughing anytime someone ordered that shite.

Same garbage, different colored bag!
