Gender Neutral Parenting

Why the frick is this a real thing? Why do sick minded people think its OK to let their boy born with a penis decide if he wants to be a girl or vice versa?
I can guarantee you if one day we have a boy his room will be decked out in sports decor or decorated in toxic masculinity. And if we have a girl, it will be pink and flush with baby dolls.
Now this doesn’t mean if my son turns 5 and he wants a kitchen set or a doll house he can’t have it so long as he knows he is boy. But this whole we will raise our kids gender neutral thing is disgusting.

Some lady on my NextDoor app had questions about the school bus the other day. Was worried her kid was going to be exposed to "Machismo and guns"(Very brief summary of the bullshite she was spewing). Sorry your kid might grow up to not be a pussy? I can only imagine what kind of bullshite gender neutral upbringing he/she is getting.
ETA: Still not sure how the kid is going to get exposed to guns on the bus

There is a difference in painting your son's room a neutral color, letting him play with dolls, etc
and telling him he isn't a boy or a girl and can choose what he wants

Yes.
Gender neutral parenting is like my sister who doesn't want pink clothes for her infant.
Gender neutral just means that you aren't going to force tea parties on your daughter and football on your son. It means you allow your kid to be into whatever they are into, regardless of gender stereotypes.

Kids are going to grow into the people they are no matter what color we paint their nurseries or which activities we encourage as toddlers. To emphasize being gender neutral seems like hoping for a snowflake.
I see this regularly on pregnancy forums. People wanting to take it to the extreme of using nonspecific pronouns for their children once born. It seems like a good way to give your child an identity crisis when they’re young.

Tbh I'm not totally opposed to that actually. I maybe a lil progressive here but oh well. Maybe I'm a libtard and part of the problem by saying this.
Now as infants my daughter can wear the lil girly colors and vice versa. But if my daughter becomes a certain age and says her favorite color is blue and wants her room that color, I will not raise an issue. If my daughter decides that she hates dresses, I won't raise an issue. She is still a girl, obviously, but it won't bother me if she'd rather play with hulk action figures rather than Barbie dolls.
Same for my son, if he decides he hates sports, and would much rather get into dance, ballet, or gymnastics. I will support that. If he wants to play with his sister's Barbie doll collection, I won't raise an issue. He is still a boy, even if he is not into everything that a boy is typically into.
I'm not the type that will make my daughter's do all the inside chores, ie cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. While my son maybe learns how to cut the grass. My kids will share every chore equally, regardless of gender ( its embarassing the amount of dudes I knew who came to college not knowing how to clean a tub, do laundry, fold clothes, or cook real food not in the microwave. I will teach my daughter's about cars, not just my sons.
I see nothing wrong with traditional gender roles and stereotypes. I also see nothing wrong if a boy decides he doesn't want to be the average stereotypical lil boy. The same vice versa.
Where I draw the line is completely trying to change your gender. God doesn't make mistakes, and that is what my kids will be taught. They are perfect just the way they are.

I’m very much against the creepy assault on our children by trans “activists.” However, the type of early parenting you’re describing can cause the very issue you seek to avoid (and a range of mental health consequences). If your child doesn’t like the typical interest or colors you push on them, they may start to think of themselves as less of a boy or girl, then the lurking satanists get in their head. Instead, take cues from your children. Does your boy enjoy dancing? Ballroom and ballet celebrate male strength. Is your girl a tomboy? Let her see strong, professional women doing typically “male things. This way, they realize they can be any type of male or female they want to be and don’t feel the need to mutilate themselves to conform with cultural expectations. My nursery fir both sexes was a “God’s beauty” theme. Nice pictures of scenic natural vistas (cliffs, beaches, forests, space) and a warm forest green as the predominant color.
