Women will be over-represented in combat commands to avoid the charge of sexism and glass ceilings - therefore, they will be over-represented across the board in combatant commands, MACOMS, etc., well over their numbers.

This has always been the ultimate goal of the "women in combat" movement - to get more women's tickets punched (pardon the pun) to get a larger slice of the higher command billets.

It will ultimately ruin the U.S. military as a fighting force. Not right away, but within a couple of generations - certainly by the 21st Century if not reversed.

As a woman who has never served in the military, I can support this. Women can serve in different roles where they may be more suited such as nursing at base hospitals or VA centers, inventory of supplies, etc.

Those making the decisions about this should be those who have served in that capacity and have a full understanding of what is required.

To all of you who have served.

I'm not exactly sure how officer promotions work, especially O1-03, but I do know that for enlisted the PFT score is heavily weighted. How will women ever be promoted when there PFT scores will undoubtedly be drastically lower than that of their male peers?

Assuming of course women are required to meet the same Standards as men in the combat arms.

Standards are one thing; actual combat is a different animal.

Women are not biologically nor evolutionarily driven to excel in direct enemy combat. This goes back to the beginning of creation.

Men and women were made different and that was for one to complement the other.

There are other things women are better at that I am. But I'm not crying about it
