The upper ranks of the officers don't agree with it. They just go along with it because Congress selects those that will just fold over to their bullshite. All the good ones get tossed before they get too high up. Look at General Mattis

Ya know, I'm not saying no, never, but I am saying they should be able to meet the same standards if they're so suited to it. That's pretty simple logic is it not? Now, when we're talking about 03-Infantry, that's another story with more complex issues to consider.

I agree, but, because the fastest way to General Officer is to command a Combat Arms battalion in combat, our idea of having them command the pots, pans, pencils and piss pans won't be acceptable.
I know we agree that's a stupid reason to put women in combat in combat arms branches, but, this isn't the first time that people have failed to understand our genius . . . well, it's not GENIUS, but, it's certainly common sense.

I think it's great that we're going to combine the current hyper-EO climate in the military with an integrated combat arms. I mean, what the frick could go wrong?

He had an incredibly beautiful farm on Highway 61 just on the north side of St Francisville. I had the pleasure of visiting a few times and meeting him. Great place and a great man. Not sure if the family still owns it.
