damn Jones that's a great looking 69, what's the history on it?

My dad's first car when he was 15. Never got rid of it. When he had my brother and I, he had two 69 chevelles(1 a convertible), 78 vette, and a 79 vette in the garage. Had to downsize so he kept his first car.
It stayed at my grandparents. About 20 years ago he asked my older brother if he restored it would he want the car. My brother said no. My brother doesn't care for cars at all. He would take the bus if he could. I said yes, duh, and we got it completely restored.

Nothing other than a rebuild to factory specs... car is basically how one would have rolled off the assembly line.

And with the special history... keep that car to hand down to your kids.

Beautiful car, Jones.
I have a 69 Chevelle Malibu that I bought for $1500 when I turned 16. It was originally a 307, but had a pontiac 454 in it when I bought it. I sold that to help pay for parts and replaced it with a 350 crate. I restored it with my dad and had a blast. Unfortunately, I was a kid and didn't want a stock restore. I wanted bucket seats, 4 in the floor, racing stripes, etc. and we were a bunch of amateurs, so it isn't great. I'm about to start rolling back some of the mods that we put in to make it more true the original build.

If I had that car I'd have a full boner every time I drive it.

My cousin up in north Looziana has a pretty nice toy box....... I've been after him to sell me the '69 ragtop 442, and have him on the ropes. He's got some serious bucks in these, and at anytime, you can crank one up, and hit the road.
