The early C3's were the ones to have. After 72 they went to shite pretty quick. I have the original engine and all accessories preserved in my shop. The rest of the driveline is original. It just went over 25K miles.

The 68-72 vettes were my dream cars as a kid, because my dad had a yellow 68 427 tri-power convertible when I was young.
His best friend from those days still has an all original black 69 427 (I think the 390 hp version...not tri-power) that looks identical to your car.

I hope it is still on the road and someone has taken care of it. There were three options of the tri-power. 400HP, 435HP & 435 HP with aluminum heads. All had the wow factor when the hood was opened with the triangle air cleaner. The 390 was no slouch either. Might not have had the HP, but it had lots of low end torque.

Volvo 242 GT.
Wish I still had her.

I'm the second owner. The previous owner ordered it complete from GM & built it up from there. It has the LT4 cam, 1:6 rollers, weiand intake with a demon carb on top, headman headers, the sidepipes are original, davis unified distrib. It's plenty strong.
Totally agree with you on that.
