One could easily replace the "dad" with a single mom who parades a list of men in and out of their lives and their children suffer for that.

The fact of the matter is, enough people bitched to reflect a change in our constitution. Sad, sad day for America.

Just catching, need help with this one.

What changed in the Constitution?

Why is this a sad day for America?

Also, I'm done arguing about this.

No point. Sanity, equality, logic, and justice prevailed.

I hope people against this are boiling mad right now

Do you understand that 100 million wouldn't be close to half of our country, right?

Just sayin'

When they aren't purging Christianity, Southern culture, and American history, 'live and let live' is practically all they do.

I thought a nice, round number would aid your comprehension.

Regardless, there is a reason it has to be pushed through by the courts. The people do not want gay marriage, and if it truly were our decision, it would never pass.

Like segregation?

Do you realize how many things the court has ruled unconstitutional?

For those against equality of marriage, please explain why or how this will negatively impact you or your life in any real way.

Although I have no interest in family law, it just became a much more lucrative field. That's all I got.

The race card, I see.

They also ruled the death penalty unconstitutional, before reversing their decision only four years later.

Yeah, the 80s were so much better, with ridiculously high crime and a stupid culture that everyone cringes to this day that it ever happened. God forbid largely taxpaying and upper income segment of society that doesn't participate in much crime (save drug use of course) can now have equal rights with the rest of us.

Its a solid comparison. Its systemic inequality that is unconstitutional and the verdict overturns the popular system that is in place.

In 50 years people will think of it the same way they think of segregation now.

Whats your point?

American History is filled with examples of the federal government intervening when individual states or even the majority of American citizens wanted or didn't want something a certain way. The Constitution itself only came into existence because the Articles of Confederation didn't give the government enough ability to do that and it was a miserable failure.

Three years after the Constitution was adopted, Washington himself had to go with an army forcibly make farmers in some states obey the whiskey tax. John Adams coined the term "Tyranny of the Majority." Worry about ochlocracy is why we had the Connecticut Compromise. As much as our founding fathers' set up the country/government to protect individual citizens' liberty from government interference, it's also set up just as much to protect the minority from the pure democratic mob rule of the
majority.

Fact that a lot of people don't seem to understand this is a much bigger travesty than gay people getting married

Here is an argument against homosexuals being parents from kids of homosexuals.

Anyone can be a shitty parent. And anyone can find a few stories to piece together an "article". I know a few people that grew up with a pastor/preacher as a father who was a shitty parent. Why are the children not protected from this abuse?

Yep, the status quo will never, ever change again.

The end of history is officially here.
