I don’t know if Gasser could control himself though. He couldn’t in the 3 interviews after the incident. Dude would get picked apart on the stand.

Wasn't there evidence to the contrary regarding this point? I thought witnesses testified that McKnight was chasing Gasser once they exited the bridge, and McKnight boxed Gasser in at the intersection.

Because you don’t get out of your car and approach another person’s and reach in it when you have been road raging with the guy for several miles . Nothing good is going to come if it

I still feel like Gasser is not guilty and he acted in self defense. I think he is a POS who probably had been fantasizing about the opportunity to use his piece but McKnight approaching his vehicle during a heated argument and placing his hands onto his door/window in an aggressive way gave him a legal way to make that fantasy come true. In this day and age of violent road rage incidents a person should know damn well that getting out of your vehicle and aggressively approaching another vehicles door could very well be the last mistake you get to make.

Gasser started the chase then it was back and forth after that. Witnesses say JM was laughing during the chase while Gasser was irate and screaming so it sounds like he might not have been taking it as seriously as Gasser.

Yeah, he obviously has a temper. He'd be his own worst enemy. As for merely personally, I'd probably talk too much and get convicted.

you aren’t exactly the brightest most level headed camper in the woods if you get out of your car and go to the person’s u have been arguing with and reach in it . There were more than enough mistakes made by both. Its horrible that JM lost his life but I wouldn’t convict the guy

That definitely seems to make Gasser an aggressor. However, it almost seems as though these are two separate incidents...the car chase and then the point when McKnight exits his vehicle. I'd be interested to hear the legal opinion about that. As an example that obviously isn't apples to apples, what if I yell out of my house at someone on the street in a threatening manner, then that person opens my house window and I shoot him with a hand inside my house? Am I considered the aggressor since I started the confrontation by yelling from inside my house?

This truly was an example of what happens when two fools collide! Gasser is a POS most likely but McKnight was an absolute idiot to give that POS an opportunity to pop a cap in his arse and possibly even get away with doing it!

But you’re level headed if you pull your gun out THEN proceed to chase someone for over a mile? There is video of Joe turning onto Behrman and Gasser crossing multiple lanes to follow him. For reference that’s about the midway point from the bridge to the scene of the shooting. Gasser has his gun pulled at this point. In fact, Gasser followed Joe off of the bridge. Degaulle wasn’t his exit. The next one was.
