the average price of gas is slightly higher than one year ago, though it remains near historically low levels. The national average was around $3.07 per gallon on November 24, 2025, compared to about $3.06 per gallon on the same day in 2024, representing a small increase of approximately 0.2%

Adjusted for inflation it decreased

Can you list specifically what has been done this year by the current admin and how that resulted in lower oil prices?

Genuinely curious

Title is misleading.

Gas prices are up slightly this year. However, prices are at four year lows for the same period over the past four years.

Failed trade policies have slowed the economy and resulted in domestic demand destruction

Didn't someone just post like yesterday that gas was the same as a year ago but down from last month or week? I guess it's a "it rose a little after this point a year ago and is coming down from the peak" thing?

Gas prices generally trend with high points in the summer then fall off some in the winter (assuming no outside factors).

Year over year gas has been generally slightly below 2024. Diesel has been a little more back and forth with being cheaper or more expensive.

Diesel (and natural gas) are currently poised to go much higher. As someone said earlier in the thread, gasoline fluctuation isn't that much of your budget. DIesel and natural gas on the other hand can start some hurt.

They’re letting us Drill, Baby, Drill, baw. The Biden Administration banned drilling, shut down the U.S. oil industry, and made us import all our oil from Iran and China.

Beef prices $20 a lb for choice steaks, housing at peak, unemployment rampart, but hey gas is cheap

If gas prices were what they were when Biden was president then you’d be looking at $40 a lb for steak. Cheap gas is the key to cheaper everything

Imagine being gullible enough to think a POTUS affects gas prices.

It's strictly a state-by-state issue and the way taxes are allocated.

Why do you hate #winning?

We are in the midst of a fantastic economy. Some experts even say possibly the best ever in the history of the world.

Prices are coming down all over the place, at a rate our country has never seen. We are also on our way to the most peaceful time in the history of our planet. No wars.

This is an incredible time.

The three stations by my house, $2.24, $2.27 and $2.29. A year ago, it wasn’t close to those prices.

Local HEB has their boneless prime ribeyes currently at $26.99/lb. $114, not counting tax, would be three beautiful, roughly 1.5 lb ribeyes.

Imagine being so stupid that you don’t understanding how restricting drilling, or the transporting of crude (keystone pipeline) thus lowering the SUPPLY of oil wouldn’t have any effect on its price.

This economy is absolute dog shite man

Consumer confidence is the lowest it has ever been. Manufacturers are laying off people left and right. 30 of my co-workers were just let go. Keep telling yourself that though.
