I disagree... the way they talk has nothing I do with race but more of a social class deal.. they are mostly uneducated and trash, I think that's what a lot of people make fun of, not their skin

it's easy to get carried away with this dumb narrative
The DOJ obviously told Gravy and co. that Salamoni had a gun aimed at Sterling's head when he didn't comply(when they were there b/c of Sterling pulling his gun on people). Instead of clearly explaining that, Gravy has turned the narrative into Salamoni going up to Sterling with no provocation, putting the gun on his head, and executing him.

oh i understand, but it just doesn't do anything positive
just to give an example...the OT loves to point out, correctly, that these people are noting more than hustlers trying to use ideology to further themselves, either directly (financially) or indirectly (government favor or fame). a big part of this statement involves pointing out how they don't like to deal in facts or logic and revert to things like Biblical quotes/references or just irrational emotions.
all those jokes do is lower the OT to that level and you lose the rhetoric "high ground" and can no longer even make the above argument. keep the discussion centered around facts, logic, and avoiding the low-hanging fruit/lulz opportunities that may be interpreted as racism

Why does Deray look like he's about to insert a cock into his mouth in most of his pictures?

He was definitely flirting with Colbert in that video.

I get your point, and I understand.. I just feel like with these 'people' anything should be fair game.. after all, they deem themselves as public figures... look how landrieu gets roasted here
I'll save my empathy, compassion, and political correctness for the 'I had to put my dog down today' threads

i mean i crack some jokes, don't get me wrong
calling Gary some variation of fat or KB/HH crazy is a lot different than using potentially racially-charged mocking language
